Monty Python – The Parrot Sketch

378199_art_devochka_ptica_popugaj_korabli_transport_cveto_1680x1050_( is my most favorite sketch of Monty Python, starring my favorite comedian, John Cleese. It’s the reason why I have the phrase, “pining for the fjords” as another way of saying something has cease to be. I love Cleese’s many synonyms for describing the dead parrot, And yes, “notlob” is not a real palindrome, but that’s the clever joke! ^w^

I first saw this sketch on public television when I was age fifteen, and it was THE sketch that won me over to watching the show every late night for my entire teen years. Please enjoy! ^_^v
